We Defy Foundation Partnership

We Are Proud to Be an Approved We Defy Foundation Training Facility

At Valor Jiu-Jitsu, we believe Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is more than a martial art — it is a path toward confidence, resilience, purpose, and community. That is why we are honored to partner with the We Defy Foundation as an approved training facility serving combat veterans in our community.

The We Defy Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides combat veterans coping with military-connected disabilities a long-term means to overcome their challenges through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness training. Their mission is to empower veterans to rediscover purpose, build camaraderie, and improve both physical and mental well-being through the supportive environment found on the mats.

We understand firsthand the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served our country. Valor Jiu-Jitsu Co-Owner Marcos Estrada Sr proudly served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he held leadership roles in strategic planning, emergency operations, and international coordination efforts supporting military and humanitarian missions around the world. His experiences working alongside service members, allied forces, and local communities reinforced the importance of resilience, brotherhood, and service — values that continue to shape the culture of Valor Jiu-Jitsu today.

Through our partnership with We Defy Foundation, we are committed to helping veterans find community, support, and personal growth through Jiu-Jitsu. We are proud to provide a welcoming environment where veterans can train, heal, and thrive alongside teammates who genuinely care about their success both on and off the mats.
